Also, have your friend take a look at a Pearson 10M. 33 feet, with a single quarterberth, a salon slide out true double berth to port, and a slide out full single to stbd, with a pilot berth above, and a wide V berth. Good size head forward of the mast, full nav table port aft, somewhat small galley, but very serviceable. Lots of cockpit storage, two hanging lockers below. Very well built for the price, and quite fast. Somewhat plasticy interior, but teak faced bulkheads were an option. Friend has a P-10M tall rig, and was marginally faster than my C&C33-1; a bit faster than my LF38.
Yet, when I sail the P-10M, I sure miss the C&C T-Cockpit, and wheel aft in the cockpit.
Man was not created to crunch his spine sideways to face the bow when heeling at 20 degrees, bracing his feet, whilst ducking spray.!
Good boat, prices are right
