Yeah!

Lifecaulk rocks!  And like Fred said really goop it on.  But, at the same time, be sure that you have newspaper secured to the ground under your project, as the extra goop will bloop!

  Frank -- FWIW, I used Lifecaulk on several transducers on boats last summer, and was very happy with the results. And as Wal always says, use a bunch and clean up later; once you've opened a tube, it doesn't make much sense to try to scrimp, as the remaining product will only dry out in the tube anyway...
