Mike,
Call Michigan Industrial Belting at 800.778.1650. With the 10mm width,
you should be able to order from them unless you need a wholesale
account.
BTW, the AT5 refers to the cog pattern and spacing (5mm).

My pilot has exceeded my expectations on all points of sail. However
some points are better than others. Unless yours doesn't spin freely
when disengaged (an old warranty issue) you should be able to resolve
this issue.
I have found a service manual PDF file for the wp10,wp30, 300cx that I
can forward to anyone that sends private email address.
Dennis,
the belt dimensions are below. please let me know if you get a source. I
would buy 2 or 3 belts.
863 SYNCHROFLEX AT 5/825
OPTIBELT ZRM AT5-825
THIS BELT IS 10 MM WIDE,
MEASURES 830 MM AROUND THE OUTSIDE FACE OF THE BELT. MAY HAVE
STREACHED IN USE so the new size may be 825 MM (which may relate to the
825 in the part numbers above)
BELT THICKNESS IS 2.75MM, COG THICKNESS is 1.25MM.
IT HAS 165 COGS IN 830MM LENGHT WHICH SEEMS TO BE 5MM PITCH.

So I've got the same pilot as well, and have found it's done a great job
under power but really struggles under sail even when the boat is well
balanced. It just tends to react too slowly - slow to start the turn,
slow to end the turn.
I know that much like other autopilots this has two different types of
tuning (I don't know the specific terms for each) - but frankly I've
always found the process is a bit of a foreign language to me. Can
anyone help me better understand how I can appropriately tune this
autopilot to be more responsive without steering a slalom course?
Or is this just par for the course with the non-gyro mid-range wheel
pilots?
Thanks.

Mike,
I have a WP30 also, so I want to find a supplier, too. I just put on a
new belt couple of years ago so it should be good for a while.
Sheesh, what a pain! Fortunately, it's a "standard" belt, although
metric and uncommon. I found lots of references to AT5 timing belts.
Took me about an hour of Googling and a couple phone calls but I found a
supplier that will sell one belt. Need to know the width of the belt
however. Didn't have that and didn't want to dissassemble my unit to
measure it. Does anybody have the width?
Anyway, Michigan Industrial Belting (800.778.1650) says they will sell
one belt, hopefully without a minimum order charge. I forgot to ask if
they only sell wholesale. Here's their metric belt page:
http://www.mibelting.com/metric.htm
<http://www.mibelting.com/metric.htm>
There are also several industrial belt suppliers in the Boston area.
Use Google maps "Find businesses" feature and search for "belting". It
will pop up Colmar Belting, Boston Pulley, Dresco Belting (Weymouth).
One of them might be able to help.
Let me know if you're successful.

A thread last summer mentions that the wp10 and wp30 (300cx) are not
obsolete and Wally posted the following OEM part number: OPTIBELT AT
5-825
My worn belt is a 863 SYNCHROFLEX AT 5/825.
Has anyone found a source of belts? Simrad doesn't seem to have them.
Thanks,
Mike
