{Stus-List} Autopilot

I went the under deck pilot route last year.  Raymarine S2G with an 
octopus hydraulic drive.  I would not go with RM's linear 
drives.  When it is not operational, you don't even know the 
hydraulic drive is down below.

   If I had to do it again I would go with a Simrad course 
computer.  The head on the RM ( 6002+) started to 
intermittently  fail after 60 days.  Knowing how intermittent 
failures are addressed I kept it till it was 90 days on the boat and 
completely kaput.   Took CMC, RM's distributor up here in Igloo Land 
over 30 days to fix it and they only got it back together when I said 
I am picking it up Friday, fixed or in pc's.   NO MORE RAYMARINE FOR ME.
