{Stus-List} Wire to Rope Halyards

Hi All, I currently have wire halyards that use a pulley at the top of the
mast with a groove in it for the wire.  I have purchased all new halyards
and I am wondering if that groove will cause added wear to the rope and if I
should replace the pulley.  Anybody know if you need to replace it, or where
I could get it?
