The sales tax is the excise tax. Only once. It is now 6% and you only
get hit once. If you register in state, you will be charged $24 per two
years for the sticker/license.

home port it there,  I would pay the sales taxe and the excise tax on

	The State of Maryland does not put a sales tax on the boat you
bought out of state. They do have a 5% Excise Tax of Purchase Price.
They give you credit for a Trade-in on the Net Purchase Price. They have
a Title Fee of $2.00 and a Registration Fee of $24.00 for 2 Years. The
nearest office is in Bel Air and their number is 410-836-4550.
