Update, tightened alt belt, checked connections at tach and at alternator... Tach still deadJim Galaxy 34'

My 2gm has a lead from the Tach to a
sensor on the engine .. the spade connector on the wire  came lose.. a squeeze
on the connector and so far so good for 3 years

Thanks a lot listers  all the talk about tach's and
my boat got jealous and decided to join in. Tach worked last week, dead last
night! I'll have to do some checking later today. Hopefully something simple
and just the lead on the alternator broken off. I'm sure the gage itself ain't
cheap from yanmar.

Any thought for diagnosis?
