Mine did that. I took the door off, epoxied it back together, and put the door back on.

Subject: {Stus-List} 35-1 head door jam split

The door jam/sash on Touche' has split below the lowermost hinge. The door opens aft. I suspect that it is due to the times when the door comes off the hook latch and swings back and hits the mast every now and then. The split starts at the bottom and travels upward to just under the lowermost hinge.

Any other owners experience this?

My plan is to remove the door, spread the split carefully, inject epoxy and clamp it until cured. I may drill a couple countersunk holes in the trim 4-6 inches above the bottom and screw it also, covering the screws with a teak bung.

Any other slick ideas out there?
